What does home worth mean?

Home worth or home value refers to the current market value of a home based on the neighborhood, size, number of rooms, date it was built, condition, comparable homes in the area, and more. Home worth isn’t to be confused with the list or asking price, which a seller sets when they sell their home and can be very different from its actual worth. Or offer price, which is what a buyer offers to the seller for a home. Home worth is determined by a neutral appraiser who conducts an on-site visit and professionally evaluates the home to determine its market worth.
