Open houses are a great tool when you’re trying to build interest around your home sale. While they aren’t as effective as scheduled viewings, they are a simple way to make your home more visible to a high volume of potential buyers. However, real estate marketing trends have started to put less emphasis on open houses. With most buyers searching for homes online, fewer are discovering listings through open houses. While it’s still a useful marketing tool—particularly when you want to show the home to a large number of people in a very hot market—it’s not a requirement.
